- Youth Options Worker
The Youth Options Service is based at Jules One-Stop in Oakham and offers help and support for young people with their future plans.
Following recent government legislation, from September 2012, careers guidance services for young people in Rutland changed (previously Connexions Service) to ‘Youth Options Service’.
One to One careers advice and guidance interviews; support with searching for jobs; advice and help with CV’s; application forms; interview techniques; a vacancy information service for young people and employers; information, advice and guidance on courses and training opportunities.
The Youth Options Team work closely with the Youth Service, Mentors and Counsellors, as well as other support services and can direct you to the right people to get the help you need.
As this is now a targeted service the following young people will be eligible for support:
• Those not in education, employment or training aged 16-19 living in Rutland
• Young people who are currently supported in school or college by the Youth Options Service
• Young people with a statement of educational need, currently or previously, up to age of 25
Please check at Jules House, or with your school or college if you are unsure about any of the above.
Here is our Youth Options team - here to help you with information, advice and guidance.
They used to be known as Connexions, but what ever their name they still provide the same excellent service.
